The MSF Guide to Group Riding - 2003 (16:32)

Getting there is half the fun, and making new friends along the way is what motorcycle touring is all about. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) has produced a new training video, "The MSF Guide to Group Riding."  The 17-minute, live action production was premiered June 2000 at the Honda Hoot in Asheville, North Carolina.

The video covers useful, need-to-know information on how to ride safely in a group. It addresses issues such as holding a riders' meeting, the role of the lead and sweep rider, staggered formation riding, communication within the group, negotiating traffic and road hazards, and reviewing common-sense safety habits.

Riding Straight – 2003 (12:00)

Each year, alcohol is involved in nearly half of all accidents that claim motorcyclist’s lives.  Stress, fatigue, and the use of drugs – even prescription and over-the-counter drugs – can also impair a motorcyclist’s skills and judgment.

“Riding Straight” is a 12 minute video in which you’ll learn more about these skill robbers and how you can tactfully prevent friends from riding impaired.

Although “Riding Straight” tackles a serious subject, the hoist – actor/motorcyclist Charles Eston – presents the information in an entertaining way.

Cars, Motorcycles and A Common Road (8:30)

“Cars, Motorcycles and A Common Road” is an eight-and-one-half-minute video intended to increase a motorist’s awareness of motorcyclists on the roadway.

It illustrates potentially hazardous situations that an inattentive motorist can create for the motorcyclist and explains why the situations are so dangerous.  The main theme of the video is to treat motorcyclists and other highway users with respect, just as you would your neighbors, and expect to see them on the roadway.
